Product Description
Bovine serum is the blood fraction remaining after the natural coagulation of blood, followed by centrifugation to remove any remaining red blood cells. Fetal bovine serum (FBS) containing an especially high amount of growth factors is the most widely used serum. FBS Standard contains Serum of highest Quality. Tests according to EMA (also known as EMEA) and Ph. Eur. guidelines as well as gamma irradiation reduce sources of microbial contamination and minimize the risks when using animal components.
