FGF-acidic human rec.
Product information "FGF-acidic human rec."
FGF-1 (acidic fibroblast growth factor) is a member of the Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) group. Members of the FGF family are involved in a variety of biological processes including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, Tumor growth and invasion. This protein controls and alters the cell migration and proliferation of endothelial cells and a variety of other cell types. The heparin-binding fibroblast growth factors are important factors of angiogenesis and potent mitogens for different cell types. FGF-1 human recombinant is an in E. coli made, non-glycosylated one-chain polypeptide. It consists of 140 amino acids and has a molecular mass of about 15.8 kDa. FGF-1 is purified using proprietary chromatographic methods.
