Panexin BMM is a fully defined serum substitute for the cultivation of macrophages from mouse bone marrow (murine bone marrow derived macrophages, BMM) under serum-free conditions. The ready-to-use sterile solution in a final concentration of 5 % is added to the basal medium RPMI 1640, supplemented with 50 µM Mercaptoethanol and 2 ng/ml GM-CSF mur. rec.
Composition
Panexin BMM contains purified proteins (< 3 % w/v), lipids, salts, amino acids, trace elements, attachment factors, hormones and animal-derived components (< 12 % w/v). It contains no growth factors, undefined hydrolysates or lysates (e. g. Peptones).
Suitability
