Panserin ProVero, Complete Medium for Vero Cells, w: L-Glutamine

Panserin ProVero is a fully defined, complete serum-free medium ready to use for the cultivation of Vero cells (kidney epithelial cells from African green monkey) in an adherent culture.

Composition

Panserin ProVero is based on DMEM/F12. It contains trace elements, albumin, cholesterol, soy lipids, vitamins, hormones and attachment factors.

Serum-free cultivation of Vero cells in adherent culture (e.g. roller bottles).

Highly enriched medium for the fast growth and culture of adherent Vero cells.

Instructions for use

Switching from serum-containing medium to Panserin ProVero is often possible without special adaptation. For cells that do not tolerate such a simple switch to Panserin ProVero, we recommend cultivating the cells in Panserin with serum supplement and gradually reducing the serum content. This procedure is supported by higher titers during seeding (20,000 cells/cm²). The vitality status plays a crucial role for the successful transfer of cells into serum-free culture. Therefore, cells must be harvested during the logarithmic growth phase. From our experience, cultivation from the stationary phase is significantly less likely to succeed. When transferring the cells, it must be ensured that after possible detachment with trypsin, the enzyme is removed by complete washing or inactivated by a trypsin inhibitor, as the neutralizing effect present in serum is omitted.
